GREAT BEND — Joan M. Bader, 81, died Sept. 7, 2016 at her home, Great Bend. She was born March 23, 1935 at Redwing, the daughter of Joseph and Maude (Eveleigh) Habiger. She married Robert Lee Bader on Sept. 1, 1955 at Hoisington. He died Jan. 4, 2011. A Great Bend resident since 1955, coming from Osborne, Mrs. Bader was a homemaker.
Mrs. Bader was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She was passionate about taking care of the neighborhood animals. She loved flower gardening and her family of which she was very supportive.
Survivors include one son, Michael Bader of Great Bend; two daughters: Debora Bader of Pawnee Rock, and Diann Henderson and her husband Ken of Great Bend, and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Laura Bader.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 9, 2016 at Bryant Funeral Home with Father Louis Trung Dinh Hoang officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time, Friday, at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to Great Bend Recreation Commission Foundation to Benefit My Backyard or Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
