He married Barbara Nichols and they were later divorced. He then married LeAnn Weber and they later divorced.
Born and raised in Hoisington, he moved to Great Bend in 1977, living and working there until moving to Seattle, Wash., in 1990. He was employed by the Boeing, Co., retiring in January 2016. He was an avid golfer and bowler.
